Circadian Phone Apps

A few phone apps are pretty essential to a “circadian” life. Here’s what you need.

To track solar events & manage safe sun exposure:

  • Use the Circadian app to know when solar events happen where you live.

  • Use dMinder to manage safe sun exposure.

  • Or use MyCircadian to do both — I just prefer the other 2 separately because the paid version of the Circadian app lets you set customizable notifications, whereas MyCircadian’s notifications are quite limited. But MyCircadian is nice to have because (also with the paid version) you can measure lux (brightness) in your environment and log daily sun sessions (while managing safe sun exposure).


To turn your phone screen red:

  • iPhone:

    • RadioDark — I built this! It doesn’t just turn your phone red at the right times of day; it also cuts EMFs, reduces flicker, and mitigates the other digital stimulation that silently harms your health. Should also work on iPads.
